Specialist Finisher (Team Lead)
Jack Badger is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Finisher (Team Lead) to join our workshop team in a pivotal, hands-on leadership role.
We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, quality, technical skill, creativity, and the right level of healthy obsession with historic woodwork. Our standards are exceptionally high — and we’re looking for someone who naturally shares that mindset.
This role goes beyond application of finishes. You’ll take ownership of the finishing department within the business — setting standards, developing processes, and helping to shape a growing department.
The role
Finishing at Jack Badger is about far more than off-the-shelf products. It’s about achieving depth, tone, texture, and authenticity that bring our work to life.
Every detail matters — from tool marks and surface character to sheen and colour depth. These elements combine to define the Jack Badger aesthetic and meet the expectations of our discerning clients.
This is a new and evolving role, offering genuine scope to shape how our finishing department develops. You will work closely with the Managing Director and workshop team to build, refine, and evolve finishing standards, systems, and techniques.
